Tailovo Church

Tailovo Orthodox Church is a special place for many Setos now living in Estonia, as a large number of their ancestors have been buried at the Tailovo cemetery. The church is located quite close to the Estonian border – only a few kilometers as the crow flies – but for people it takes quite a long time to get there, because one has to drive through the town of Pechory. The patron saint of the Tailovo church is St Nicholas. Therefore, the most important feast day of Tailovo is the St Nicholas Day, celebrated on May 22 on the old calendar.
